Pender EMS and Rescue Inc. cares about our community......and we want you to know it! We don't just work here, but we live here, and play here also. Pender County residents are our  neighbors, our  friends, and our families. And not only does Pender EMS and Rescue want to be a positive community steward by offering the best Emergency Medical Services available, we want to do more. We want to give back to our neighbors, friends, and families. In doing so, our Public Relations Department was established with the objective to inform, educate, and train our community concerning public health issues as well as EMS.

 

     Throughout the year, Pender EMS and Rescue informs by speaking at churches, assisted living facilities, and special events regarding community health concerns. We educate, holding mock DUI scenarios and simulated motor vehicle crashes at local schools. The purpose of which is to give students an opportunity to witness how EMS performs and the sometimes tragic outcome of careless decision making. And we train, offering classes in CPR, Automated External Defibrillators (AED), and first aid to cub scout troops, civic organizations, clubs, and schools. And when all that is said and done, dont be surprised to see us at a parade or two or to notice many of our awesome employees offering their time and effort to great causes like "Relay for Life" for the American Cancer Society.
