The current status of Pender EMS and Rescue Inc. as the primary provider of emergency medical and rescue services for Pender County, North Carolina, is the result of many years and countless hours of dedicated service of volunteers throughout Pender County. Without the selfless devotion to their communities, the base on which to build a career-oriented system would not have existed. Acknowledging that many people are willing to dedicate their precious time, or wish to explore the profession of emergency services, we will continue to encourage and welcome volunteers in our organization. Furthermore, Pender EMS believes that the education, training, and development of EMS professionals is a responsibility of EMS systems and their employees. Therefore, we will continue to provide opportunities in our EMS Division for Emergency Medical Technician- Basic through Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic as either career, part-time, or volunteer staff. We also have opportunities for Emergency Medical Technician –Basic through Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate in our non-emergency transport service, and for Rescue Technicians in our Rescue Division.
